What Lindsey Says About Him: “I was only planning on buying one off the track Thoroughbred this year (for 2016) for the makeover, and I had already bought two, but this little guy needed a home. I was told he was high strung, a kicker, and needed a lip chain. I decided to bring him home to see what I could do."
Information:

Lindsey ended up with Gustav through some connections to people at the race track looking for a home for him. He was free to a good home and Lindsey was warned that he would need some work because he was high strung, kicked, and needed a lip chain for leading.

He was very well cared for, in good health, and the owner said he had a great work ethic and loved to work - he just wasn't fast enough to race.

Lindsey brought him home the same day as Mystique. She immediately realized that this horse is a snuggle bug and loves people, attention, and being fussed over.

During his first ground work session he didn't know how to go over a pole, but it only took him a few minutes to figure it out. On the second session he was jumping cross rails (ground work) and was very good about keeping them up.

He has a lovely balanced canter on the line and see to be very kind, but also worried. He is quick to flight away if another horse comes to close or if a human makes a movement he isn't ready for.

We are going to be starting with a lot of basics and confidence building with this sweety.
